Community Rules

These are global rules that are active for each Next Step connected space. They are designed to create a safe environment for everyone.

Rules

  • You must follow your local laws and regulations.
  • Follow the official platform related guidelines. For example: on Discord, you must follow the official Discord Guidelines
  • You must follow the specific Next Step mentioned rules in each community space. For example: if you are in discord you have to read the #rules channel and follow the rules mentioned there. etc
  • This community is not a replacement for therapy, counseling, medical care, or other professional support services. If you need serious support, please reach out to qualified professionals or trusted local resources.
  • Keep all Next Step spaces safe and welcoming for everyone. No NSFW content or language, no harassment, hate, bullying, or drama, no sharing of personal information, no piracy or copyright infringement, no promoting, encouraging, normalizing or glorifying the use of alcohol, dr*gs, or other substances, and no spam, flooding, or disruptive behavior.
  • Avoid using AI-generated content in Next Step spaces. AI can provide inaccurate information, AI may be trained on creators' content without their permission, AI content can reduce meaningful discussion.
  • Respect everyone, including staff and other members. Someone else may also be going through a hard time, so please be kind and supportive.

Extra Information

  • We stand against role abuse and have a zero-tolerance policy for it. Moderator actions are irremovably logged and can be viewed by other moderators and admins. If you believe a moderator is abusing their powers, please let another/higher moderator or admin know.
  • In Next Step's spaces, we use Automatic Moderation systems. These systems may automatically flag or remove content that violates the rules. It's mainly based on warning and removing, but in some cases it performs automatic punishments. These systems may make mistakes. If something is incorrectly flagged or removed, please appeal.
